Description
Classroom Aides at Covenant Christian School play a vital role in creating joyful, Christ‑centered learning environments. We’re looking for team members who embody patience, humility, integrity, and kindness as they support classroom teachers and serve our students with excellence.
Aides partner closely with teachers and the administrative team to carry out daily responsibilities, provide nurturing care, and assist with instruction. Every interaction reflects Covenant’s Doctrinal Statement and honors the truth that children are whole persons uniquely created in the image of God and worthy of thoughtful, grace‑filled support.
Salary: Hourly
Requirements
- Pray regularly with and for the students, parents, faculty and staff of Covenant Christian School.
- Assist and support the teacher in any way possible with classroom supervision, class projects, room decorating, snack and lunch time, cutting, pasting, copying, laminating and delivering items.
- Assess student progress toward learning goals for ongoing feedback to students and parents.
- Carry our Benchmark screening, progress monitoring across all grade levels.
- Assess collected data and review with Principal and classroom teacher.
- Always available to teacher and administration during class and scheduled times.
- Assist with other grades and classes as scheduled or as needed.
- Early care duty on a rotating basis as scheduled by the school's administration.
- Professional attitude with regards to parents; allowing the teacher to discuss any behavior or academic problems with the parents and allowing the teacher to meet with parents for conferences.
- Support and assist teachers with and on field experiences.
- Maintain professionalism in regards to making any personal phone calls or taking care of personal business during time scheduled to be with your class.
- Other duties as assigned.
