Campus Employment | Presbyterian Church in America
Part-Time
Posted: Jun 23, 2026
Application Deadline: Aug 31, 2026
Description
The Log Cabin at Covenant Theological Seminary provides care and enriching activities for children ages 6 months-5 years several mornings a week so their parents can have a free morning to attend a class or cohort/Covenant group, get their groceries, drink their coffee while it's still hot, or catch up on their reading or housework. The children participate in fun "circle time" stories and read alouds, enjoy music, have a snack, play outdoors, make friends, work on art and craft projects, and play with lots of fun toys.
We are seeking warm, responsible adults to be a part of this ministry by providing care and interaction with the children on these mornings and a couple of weekend evenings per month. This is a wonderful chance to have a job schedule that can work around your classes while investing in the lives of children. We think you'll also find the time a welcome chance to experience the wonder-filled delight of small children, their unique perspectives on God and the world, and their enthusiastic friendship.
Salary: Hourly
Requirements
Workers should have experience working with children in some capacity, a willingness to learn more about how to engage children well, the ability to follow health and safety procedures, and at least one free morning per week. Shifts can be adjusted to your class schedule and availability and are usually between 8:05 and 12:35 Tuesday through Friday. Current CTS students or spouses may also bring one or two of their own children ages 6 months-5 years along with them to their shift.
