Job Announcement for Pastor of Student Ministries

Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Annapolis is seeking a Pastor of Student Ministries who possesses a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, a heartfelt desire to work with children and their families, and a demonstrated effectiveness in creating and leading effective ministry programming for our children in Middle School and High School. The person we are looking for should be innovative, enthusiastic, flexible, and be able to build a strong team of ministry volunteers. 

Our current Student Ministry draws children from between 12-15 different schools, including those from public, private and homeschool environs. Any applicant should be capable of meeting the different needs of the children and parents of these different educational philosophies, and crafting a unified, gospel-centric approach that embraces all children across the years of their educational development.

Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Annapolis (EP) is a community of God’s people who are seeking the renewal in our city as we are being renewed by the gospel. Our vision is that Jesus Christ would be glorified, and that people from every nation, tribe, and language would worship and serve the living God.  EP is a particular church of the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA).

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

1.     A genuine and dynamic faith in Jesus Christ

2.     A lifestyle consistent with faith in Jesus Christ

3.     A heartfelt desire to work with students through their Middle School and High School years

4.     Demonstrated effectiveness in creating and leading ministry programming that is attractive to students, and which builds them up as disciples of Jesus

5.     A desire to become an active part of the community of Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Annapolis.

6.     Is ordained, or ordainable in the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA) in a year.
