Description
We are looking for a Director of Family Ministries for our wonderful church located in Purchase NY, just north of New York City. Trinity Presbyterian Church was the first church plant of Redeemer Presbyterian Church NY and has deep roots in the NY Metro Presbytery. We need a strong, team-oriented man or woman to lead our children’s and youth ministry, someone who has a passion for discipling young people and helping them navigate their faith. This is not an ordination-track position, but it has the added benefit of working with a strong and motivated team of pastors and leaders.
Salary: $30K-$59K
Requirements
We are looking for someone with theological depth who is capable of engaging with children, youth and with adults. A seminary degree is not required, but it is a plus. Proven experience working with children and young people in a formal ministry or Christian camp setting is required. People skills (i.e. soft skills) such as conflict resolution, team-building, etc are also foundational to this position.
How to Apply
This position requires a broad knowledge of working with children, youth and families. We expect that this role may be primarily administrative regarding working with our youngest (recruiting and oversight of Sunday School teachers, setting curriculum, etc) and will have an emphasis of personal time working with youth. However, whoever has the skill set of working directly with both young children and with youth will be in an optimal place to be hired for this position.
