Christ Church is a vibrant, growing parish located steps from Lake Michigan in Winnetka, Illinois. The congregation values a faith experience that is rooted in the deep traditions of Episcopal liturgy and relevant for life today. Christ Church is seeking an innovative and relational Director of Youth Ministries (DYM) to shepherd youth and their families toward this mission. The ideal candidate will have a heart for youth and their families, endeavoring to instill a life-long faith through fellowship, learning, and service. 

The DYM will manage all aspects of youth ministry for grades 5-12 including but not limited to programs and events, outreach and service, worship involvement, volunteer stewardship, family and youth pastoral care, communications and visioning for the future. This role will work closely with the Director of Children’s Ministries as well as other relevant staff (communications, music, clergy, etc.) and volunteers.

Christ Church desires a DYM with a deep, sustaining personal faith who connects authentically with young people and endeavors to walk alongside them in spiritual growth. Experience in teaching or ministry is desired but not required; relational abilities and transferable skills are more important than previous job titles. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, and the position is open to lay, ordained or graduating seminarian candidates. A comprehensive compensation package is available.
