Description
The Pastor of Family Discipleship is a full-time staff member and a key member of the pastoral/elder team. He leads GRC’s ministry to families with youth with a missional mindset and a shepherding/disciple-making heart. He models and oversees the shepherding, disciple-making and teaching of teens and their parents while equipping a team of youth ministry leaders. The ministry scope of the Pastor of Family Discipleship involves more investment and interaction with adults (parents and youth leaders) than with the youth themselves.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implements long-term vision and strategy for nurturing and discipling families with youth, understanding the context of north New Jersey and the dynamics of GRC.
- Invests in parents’ spiritual health and equips parents to be the primary disciple-makers of their children.
- Recruits and equips youth leaders as disciple-makers and shepherds.
- Collaborates with the pastoral team to integrate GRC’s church-wide disciple-making vision into the culture of youth and family ministry.
- Oversees youth Sunday School and weekly Friday evening ministry.
- Shares in overall pastoral responsibilities, such as counseling, preaching, worship leading, and administration of the sacraments.

Requirements
Either ordained in the PCA or another gospel-centered denomination or open to being ordained in the PCA
