Solo Pastor/Church Planter

Westminster Presbyterian Church (PCA), Vincennes, is searching for a solo pastor who may be willing

to take on the role of church planter as well. We are looking for a man who is aware of the particular

challenges of small town/rural ministry; and committed to the amount of time it takes to revitalize a

congregation in such a setting, (possibly 7-10 years).

Vincennes is a southwestern Indiana town of 17,000. It is a predominantly blue-collar community

facing a changing economy's typical challenges. The largest employers are the local hospital and a two year

university. However, there is a large Toyota manufacturing plant approximately 30 minutes from

town, which employs people from all over the region. The median household income is roughly

$35,000. Like most small towns, there is a mindset of practical help and love toward neighbors.

The town is historically a nominally Roman Catholic community. Most Protestant churches in the

community would be defined as broadly evangelical and baptistic. Westminster is the only distinctively

Reformed presence in the area, allowing for great opportunity to bring the Reformed faith's beauty to

this community.

Westminster is an established church with two ruling elders and an average attendance of around 20

every Lord’s Day. We are committed to the Reformed Faith, as defined by the Westminster standards.

We place a priority on the means of grace and fellowship within the covenant community. We own our

own building, which is located within a residential neighborhood in Vincennes.
