DurhamCares is Hiring a Program Director!

Reporting directly to the DurhamCares Executive Director, this dynamic self-starter will carry out the vision and implementation of DurhamCares programming. This will include becoming a devoted learner of Durham’s story and the landscape of people and institutions that are seeking its flourishing. The Program Director will become acquainted with the vast ecology of churches in Durham and foster an environment of collaboration, rooted discipleship, and faithful ministry in the Church throughout the city. This will be done through nurturing collaboration among neighborhood-based cohorts of churches, organizing and facilitating the Durham Pilgrimage of Pain and Hope, building community among Pilgrimage alumni, shepherding congregations as they seek deeper roots and healthy engagement in Durham, and fundraising to sustain each of the program areas. The Program Director will collaborate with the Executive Director in coordination with the strategic goals of DurhamCares.
